 If you prefer, you may request an invoice for semen only and make your own arrangements for shipping from the semen storage facility. For ground transportation, this will generally be  less expensive, as the closer you live to the storage facility, the less costly the freight charges. You may also opt for expedited service such as Overnight, or 2nd day delivery. You will pay the facility directly for laboratory handling fees, freights charges and insurance.  Contact us for facility phone numbers to receive a price quote. Most semen ships directly from Great Lakes Sire Service in Bronson, Michigan. Some semen can also ship from Stateline Cryogenetics, also in Bronson, Michigan. 

The vapor tank used to send semen across the country is large  and awkward, with an inner nitrogen tank and an outer protective case , designed to safely maintain  the  temperature of liquid nitrogen at  −320 °F. This tank is not designed as a  storage tank, and will not sustain adequate temperature to safely keep semen frozen for an extended  period of time.  Semen shipped must be placed in a storage tank as soon as possible upon arrival.  Once the semen has been removed, the tank must be returned to the storage facility from which it came. The return cost has already been included in your price, whether you pay us or the storage facility directly.
